What is BPH ?

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is the enlargement of the prostate gland, commonly occurring as men age. Initially the size of a walnut, the gland grows over time.

BPH One Stop Clinic Assessment

Uroflowmetry

Urinary flow test and post void scan

This assessment helps us check for any problems you might be experiencing when you pee. It’s a quick and easy procedure that doesn’t require any catheters or needles.

To begin the test, you’ll pee into a special toilet that measures how strong your pee is, how long it takes for you to finish, and how much urine you release. Remember not to pause or stop your pee flow to provide a urine sample unless specifically instructed to do so.

Prostate Volume assessment

Tailored treatment through shared decision making

We believe in a collaborative approach to healthcare, which is why we utilize a shared decision-making process to ensure the most suitable treatment is tailored to your specific needs for assessing prostate volume and addressing benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). By actively involving you in the decision-making process, we aim to provide personalized care that aligns with your preferences and goals. Together, we will determine the best course of action to effectively manage your condition and optimize your overall well-being.

Hi-tech portable ultrasound

The Clarius portable ultrasound will be part of the one stop BPH clinic. This device is designed to provide a convenient and efficient way of assessing your condition. By using ultrasound technology, it allows us to visualize your prostate and accurately measure its size. This information is essential as it enables us to customize the treatment options based on your specific needs.
